When I was in my early twenties, I started working as a clerk at a dental clinic—just a job to pay the bills. But I ended up staying for ten years. In that time, I didn’t just see teeth and tools. I saw hidden smiles and lowered eyes.

 Over and over, I watched people light up when they thought they could fix their teeth, then shut down when they heard the price. I remember an older man with worn hands saying softly, “I’ll need to think about it.” A young mom holding back tears because that money was meant for her baby. Young adults who stopped going out because they were too embarrassed to smile.It hit me hard. Something as basic as a smile shouldn’t depend on how much you make.

 So I started working in my garage after my shifts ended. No fancy lab, just books, materials, and a stubborn belief that there had to be a better way. Trial after trial, failure after failure—until one night, it clicked. I created a safe, moldable, temporary dental material. Soften it in warm water, shape it, let it cool. Simple, affordable, effective.

 The first person I gave it to was an older gentleman who’d been struggling for years. His hands shook when he took it. A week later, he came back just to show me his smile. “I went to my grandson’s birthday,” he said, grinning fully for the first time in years. “I actually laughed out loud.”That’s when I knew: this wasn’t just about fixing teeth. It was about giving people their confidence back.

That’s why I started my own brand-CYNOSUREAN. Not just to sell a product, but to spread a simple idea: everyone deserves to smile without worry—no matter what they earn. If this little invention can help more people smile freely, then everything I’ve been through will have been worth it. Because a real, unguarded smile? Nothing in the world is more powerful than that.
